Novomatix integrated Robotize GoPal® E24 AMRs into an internal intralogistics system with 52 automated routes, allocated dynamically by GoControl FMS across several transport scenarios.

The robots cover the internal flows between goods receiving, the warehouse, and the assembly lines, with over 350 km travelled daily and approximately 800 transport orders orchestrated by GoControl FMS.

Marquardt is one of the world's leading manufacturers of electromechanical and electronic switches and switching systems used in the automotive industry — from physical control buttons (HMI), steering wheels, and electronic gear selectors through to sensors, battery management systems, and driver authentication systems. Marquardt opened its first plant in Romania in 2003, in Sibiu, and the site has since gone through several successive expansions.
Today, the production and logistics area of the Sibiu plant covers 25,000 m². Before automation, internal material transport relied on tugger trains and pallet trucks. Against this background — compounded by COVID-related restrictions and the difficulty of attracting and retaining labour — automating internal transport became relevant: not to replace a single flow, but to stabilize the entire material flow between goods receiving, the warehouse, and the assembly lines.
GoPal® E24 AMRs and connected infrastructure, integrated by Novomatix
In Sibiu, Novomatix integrated a complete internal intralogistics system based on Robotize GoPal® E24 AMRs, orchestrated by GoControl FMS and connected to pallet stations, a conveyor station, pallet sensors, auxiliary I/O boxes, and charging stations.
Several internal intralogistics scenarios on one system
On the same system, the AMRs support several operational flows: goods receiving → storage blocks (put-away), warehouse → assembly lines (line feeding), component supply, transport of empty packaging to the lines, and finished goods pickup from assembly to the warehouse and the outbound area.
Virtual transport orders, allocated dynamically by GoControl FMS
Operators raise transport orders through virtual buttons; GoControl FMS allocates each task to the right available robot. The system provides traffic management, navigation rules, a robot route map, a hub for robots and smart accessories, reporting, and KPIs.
Connected infrastructure: stations, sensors, I/O boxes
The AMRs work with pallet stations, a conveyor station, pallet sensors, auxiliary I/O boxes for automatic door opening and for communicating with the existing infrastructure, and charging stations sized for continuous operation.
High-volume internal intralogistics, visible and under control
The implementation covers the complete intralogistics flows of the Sibiu plant under real operating conditions — with high daily volumes, orchestrated transport, and end-to-end visibility over the internal transport network.

Where the same type of solution works
